In this studio-based class, young artists ages 10-14 will learn how to carefully observe real objects, still life arrangements, and the human form to create expressive, confident work. Students will explore a variety of drawing and painting techniques, including line, shape, value, color, composition, and perspective. The course will progress from still life to figure drawing.
Along the way, students will strengthen their technical skills, build creative confidence, and develop the patience and focus that come from working directly from life. Whether they are new to art or already enjoy drawing and painting, this class offers a supportive studio environment where each young artist is encouraged to grow at their own pace and discover their unique artistic voice.
