Creative Workshop Proposals

About Lista Studio

Lista Studio is a new creative hub for NYC teens launching in January 2026. Our mission is to nurture teen creativity and self-expression through both structured and open-ended art programs. We provide a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where young people can explore art as a tool for self-discovery, build confidence, and develop creative skills. For teens interested in pursuing art academically, we also support portfolio development for high school and college applications. We are seeking practicing visual artists and educators from diverse creative backgrounds to design and lead 4-session workshop series with each session lasting 2 hours. Workshops introduce students to new materials, processes, and ways of thinking, opening doors for self-expression and experimentation. While we are primarily looking for teaching artists who can offer a month-long workshop, it is our goal to build a network of educators who may provide additional workshops in the future of varying durations.
  • Focus areas include drawing, painting, sculpture, collage/assemblage, printmaking, fiber arts, digital media, and narrative/illustrative practices.
  • Workshops are scheduled monthly, with three unique offerings per month.
  • Teaching Artists bring their unique artistic voice, ideas, and methods into the studio, while encouraging curiosity and dialogue among teens.
  • Additional opportunities may include: after-school programming, artist talks, and organization of student exhibitions.
