Lista Studios

about

At Lista, we believe creativity thrives when there is room for uncertainty, experimentation, and mistakes. Being comfortable in ambiguity means not having all the answers, and developing the tools to look for them. This is an essential skill, not just for artists, but for life.

Lista is an art space for artists in formation. A place to make work without grades, deadlines, or prescribed outcomes. Here, artists are encouraged to explore ideas, try new materials, and take creative risks alongside peers and mentors.

We provide the space, tools, and guidance needed to help artists develop their individual voices, while learning from and contributing to a creative community. We believe that art education is not only about technique, but about building confidence, perspective, and curiosity.

Our mission is to provide a safe, inclusive environment where students can explore different media, experiment freely, and develop their own artistic voice. Guided by experienced mentors, members learn how to refine their ideas, present their work, and engage in thoughtful dialogue about art and culture.

Whether preparing a portfolio for high school or college, or simply growing as creative individuals, our students gain the tools to express themselves with intention and the confidence to share their vision with the world.

Our members have open access to the studio, where they can work independently in a supportive environment surrounded by other young creatives. In addition, we offer rotating workshops led by professional artists covering topics such as drawing, painting, collage, mixed media, photography, and conceptual art.

The studio’s structure encourages both freedom and guidance: students can develop their own projects, participate in group critiques, and collaborate on collective artworks. Whether your child wants to build a strong portfolio or simply deepen their creative practice, Lista provides the mentorship and space to make that growth possible.
